How do I write page ranges?
Separate ranges with commas: "1-3, 5, 8-" makes three files. "8-" means page 8 to the end.

Each top-level bookmark (the chapters in your PDF reader’s sidebar) starts a new file. Pages before the first bookmark stay with the first file.
