PDF to Excel: questions and answers
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened and changed by code running in your own browser tab. The page is locked so it cannot send data to any server, and nothing is kept once you close the tab.
Are numbers stored as numbers?
Yes. Values like 1,234.50, (300), 12%, $1,200 or 1.234,50 become numbers with matching formats, so sums and charts work straight away. Codes with leading zeros stay as text.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Scanned pages are pictures without text. Run OCR PDF first, then convert the result.
