About EgretPDF

EgretPDF is a free collection of 39 PDF tools with one rule: your documents never leave your device.

Why we built it

People put their most private papers into PDF websites: contracts, payslips, passports, medical letters. Most of those websites upload every file to a server. We think that should not be the price of merging two pages.

Modern browsers can do the work themselves, so that is how every tool here is built. The code comes to your file, instead of your file going to our code.

What we promise

• Files, passwords and signatures are processed on your device and never uploaded.
• Tool pages never contain ads, trackers or third-party scripts.
• The tools are free, with no sign-up and no watermarks.

How we keep the lights on

Some content pages, such as the home page and our guides, may show advertising in the future. Ads are never shown on the pages where you work with files, so they can never see your documents.

Built on open source

The tools run on open-source engines such as PDF.js, pdf-lib, qpdf and Tesseract. See the open-source licences.
