Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened and changed by code running in your own browser tab. The page is locked so it cannot send data to any server, and nothing is kept once you close the tab.
How is this different from PDF to images?
PDF to images takes a picture of each whole page. Extract images saves only the photos and pictures placed in the document, at their own resolution, without the text around them.
Why are some small images missing?
Icons, bullets and lines smaller than 16 pixels are skipped, so you only get real pictures. Text and drawings made of lines are not images and stay in the PDF.
